Because I felt that many people would be interested in how Mary Ann was doing after her June 20 hip replacement surgery, I decided to set up this blog as a way of keeping people informed. Little did I know then that on June 29, I would be diagnosed as having a very serious infection in my right eye that required immediate surgery. Without this surgery, which had a 70% success rate, I would very likely lose the sight of that eye permanently. I asked my granddaughter Ally to keep the blog current for me while I could hardly see, and she did. So the blog became a chronicle of how Mary Ann and Ned, both patients, progressed after their surgeries. I hope readers find this informative and entertaining!!
